Today was Rachael's 32nd birthday. She is sick, had to work, and basically had a crappy day overall.
It made me glad that I was part of one of the better parts of her day. I decided to come surprise her and take her to lunch at Applebee's. We both like the honey barbecue buffalo wings a lot. 'Monsoon' played in the background while we were there, which was interesting timing because I was just showing the song to her the other day.
My introduction to 'Monsoon' was through Guitar Hero World Tour. A while back I was playing the game with Top Hat Tim, and we both played the song without paying any attention to who it was by. Top Hat looked up the information later on, and passed it on to me. My reaction was something to the effect of "Oh, Tokio Hotel! That's the band that has the dude with the gigantic hair, isn't it?" I had seen the album cover many times, but had never heard the music. As it turns out, I like at least one song from the album.
